Front Hall:

We are standing in the front hall, looking toward the front gable end of the house, just as we come in the front door. Behind Shira is a built-in bookcase and cabinets.

Out of view, to our immediate right is the front door. Behind us is the door to the dining room. To the left is the staircase, and ahead on the left is the entry to the living room.
