Front Hall:

This is not a great picture but it does give you a sense of the space.

This is a view of the front hall, or entryway, from the dining room door. (Why they even put a door here, I don't know.) The front door from outside is to our immediate right. You can see the stairs leading up, the window on the gable side of the house, and the open entry into the living room.

Although none of these pictures of the hall show the ceiling, we're thinking of taking out the ceiling (above where we're standing), opening it up to the second floor. Perhaps we could enhance the staircase with some kind of landing and/or turn at the bottom. And, maybe take out some wall along the staircase, into the living room.
